Aston Martin downs Corvette 17/06/2008 06:24. You might have thought that Chevrolet had regained its Le Mans GT1
crown, judging by Corvette program manager Doug Fehan's smile
immediately after the race. In fact, Aston Martin won again at the
end of a thrilling race in which the top car from each manufacturer
battled hard and fast all the way through. But Fehan is a racer,
and he lives for a good old scrap between the Pratt & Miller
Chevy team and old sparring partner Prodrive. "Would I prefer finishing second in that kind of race [rather than] an easy victory?" he said. "Yes, personally, I would!" Chevy took qualifying glory, courtesy of the fastest-ever GT1 lap of the track, by Jan Magnussen.
