The power base at Audi is changing yet again as a 180PS version of the all-new 2.0-litre
TFSI unit takes over from the 1.8 TFSI in the A5 coupé –
the latest step in an exhaustive engine development programme
bringing average CO2 reductions of as much as 10 per cent for core Audi models within the past 12 months. The A5 2.0 TFSI (180PS) is
priced from £26,710 OTR and will reach its first UK customers
in October. Derived from the 211PS version of the turbo charged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder FSI engine introduced earlier this month in the A5, and sharing its new, economy enhancing Audi valvelift technology, the new 180PS unit holds a 10PS power advantage over the 1.8 TFSI, and delivers its peak output 800rpm earlier. Torque also increases by 70Nm to 320Nm, which is available from 1,500rpm... // AutoCorse.it 31/07/2008 23:52 Audi A4 And A5 Revisions CARkeys
The cheapest A5 is now the 2.0 TFSI, which replaces the previous 1.8 TFSI. The new engine is a detuned version of the 2.0 TFSI already available further up the range, but it still produces a maximum of 178bhp, or about 10bhp more than the 1.8 did. Inevitably, straightline performance has improved - the car will go from 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds and has a top speed of 148mph. But fuel economy is better too, at 42.8mpg combined (3mpg better than the 1.8), and CO2 emissions have dropped by 9% to 154g/km. This is part of Audi's plan to reduce the CO2 output across its range, and it also means that the new car is one VED band lower than the old one was, which results in a £25... // CARkeys 31/07/2008 06:56 New engine for Audi A5 coupe Car and SUV

INGOLSTADT - July 30, 2008: While many things may be new with FC
Bayern Mnchen, when it comes to its company
cars the German record champion again relies on equally
sporty and comfortable support in the new season: Rupert Stadler,
Chairman of the Management Board of AUDI AG, today handed over the
keys to the new company cars to the players, coaches
and management staff in Ingolstadt and wished the team a successful
start to the season. AUDI AG and FC Bayern Mnchen have been on the ball together since the beginning of the 2002 season. As always, the players of the double winner had a free choice from the model range and, as always, the clear majority of the pros opted for the sportiest versions of the Audi models: without exception, they selected cars with quattro drive.
