30/08/2008 00:34. THE R8 is still a rare car on British roads and is the motoring equivalent of Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Lili Cole all rolled into one.

This Audi is the latest glamorous supermodel of the automobile world.

If you want to be noticed it seems there is nothing that even comes close.

The stunning lines, particularly at the rear, seem to outshine everything else on the road at present.

The R8 does have at least one advantage, however. People can spot it coming because of the distinctive daytime driving light strips at the bottom of the headlights.

You can also hear it coming. With it's superbly sweet 4.2-litre V8 it's hard not to turn and look at the car which is based on the R8 racing cars that competed at Le Mans.
