The German car maker Audi is all set to roll out its new sports model Audi R8 in India in November 2008. The new model will be priced at Rs. 1.17 crores. Audi already marks its strong presence in the luxury sedan cars segment with its impressive portfolio that includes Audi Coupe TT, SUV Q7 and sedans A4, A6, A8.

"The (R8) cost will be over crore...Rs 1.17 crore," said Martin Birkner, Vice-President Marketing Audi (India) as the company gears up to mark overall sales of 1000 cars in India. Audi has announced that they would soon launch their R8 luxury sports car in the Indian market.

Audi R8 in India has been priced at Rs 1.17 crore.

At this price, the company does not hope to sell many units but they have a wide variety of vehicles available on sale in the Indian market.

Audi is aiming at sales of around 1,000 cars in the country this year.

Audis other offerings include A4, A6, A8, TT Coupe, and SUV Q7.
