05/07/2008 00:39. New Delhi, July 04: A survivor of the BMW hit-and-run incident, who appeared in court and described the vehicle involved in the accident as a truck instead of a car, had turned hostile due to extraneous reasons, the prosecution said today.

"Prosecution witness Manoj Malik, who survived the incident, turned the BMW car into a truck. There were reasons behind the transformation of a car into a truck," public prosecutor Rajeev Mohan told additional sessions judge Vinod Kumar.

"The constitution of 'BMW relief fund' after the incident, transfer of Rs 25 lakh to the fund by Suresh Nanda, father of accused Sanjeev Nanda, and undue haste shown by Malik in getting his testimony recorded indicate towards extraneous reasons," said Mohan, while advancing of final arguments... // Zee News
