Citroen has announced a new range-topping diesel engine for its C5 and C6 ranges. The 240PS 3.0-litre engine is the same one as is used by Jaguar in its XF as part of a deal between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Jaguar’s previous owner Ford .

Citroën has released details of a new 3.0HDi V6 240hp engine to be introduced to the C5 and C6 ranges later this summer. The unit is the most powerful production engine in Citroen's history.
