12/06/2008 04:06. Gilles Michel, Executive Vice President of Citron has won European GreenFleets Outstanding Achievement Award 2008, for his contribution to the automobile industry.

The inaugural event, which took place on World Environment Day, at the HUSA President Park Hotel in Brussels, recognises efforts by private and public sector organisations to reduce the environmental impact of motoring across Europe.

GreenFleets Colin Boyton said, "We felt that Mr Michel was a deserved winner of this Award, due to the key strategies he has overseen in the development of different technologies within Citron. As a direct result of this, Citron has won our Car Manufacturer of the Year Award for the last two years, here in the UK. This really is some achievement, considering the opposition.
