09/10/2008 20:38. The French automaker has been busy after something of a development hiatus. Having unveiled a couple of stunning concepts at the Paris Show, Citroen now intend to build an eco-car in the mold of its C-Cactus concept.

Citroen revealed its C-Cactus Concept last year as a showcase for a number of eco-friendly motoring technologies the company had up its sleeve. The odd name was derived from the “low consumption” characteristics of the spiny desert-dweller that the company wished to convey with its car.

Among the provisos set for the model under consideration are low running costs, a spacious cabin, and distinctive styling. The vehicle will be stripped of all superfluous components and utilise recyclable body panels in order to drive down production costs. With this model, Citroen aims... // Car Today
