16/06/2008 23:25. PARIS -(Dow Jones)- PSA Peugeot-Citroen (12150.FR) said Monday it is in discussions with another automobile manufacturer about sharing the cost of research and development in electric vehicle technology.

A spokesman for the French company, Europe's second-largest auto maker by volume after Germany's Volkswagen AG (VOX.XE), declined to identify the other party, however.

According to a report carried by Japanese news agency Nikkei earlier Monday, Peugeot-Citroen's partner is likely to be Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (7211.TO), which it partners in specific areas.
