Subaru to present Plug-in Stella Concept to world leaders

28/06/2008 05:59. The ultra compact plug-in utilizes a version of the electric vehicle (EV) drivetrain employed by Subaru's R1e concept that made its debut in New York earlier this year. A 40 kilowatt electric motor pushes out 150 Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque derived from advanced lithium ion batteries. Four passengers have the ability to travel 80 km (50 miles) on a single charge and can hit a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph).

Of the five provided Plug-in Stella Concepts, four will be used to transport key officials, while one will be held on display at the Environmental Showcase area. An additional model will be given to the Japan Post group for delivery of mail... // MotorTrend Magazine
