Chrysler Offers Zero Percent Financing On Dodge Ram Pickups

11/07/2008 07:11. DETROIT -(Dow Jones)- Chrysler LLC will offer zero percent financing for six years on its 2008 Dodge pickups in an effort to help its dealers amid slowing sales.

The incentive, which mirrors a similar offer made by General Motors Corp. (GM) in June, applies to the 2008 Dodge Ram light-duty quad and mega cab models, the auto maker said in a statement released on its Web site Thursday. The offer, available only through Chrysler Financial, runs through July 31 .

Chrysler is bolstering its incentives to help dealers who are struggling to sell pickups amid $4 a gallon gasoline and a slowing economy that is keeping shoppers away from showrooms. Dealers are also concerned about their ability to unload 2008 models before 2009 models start arriving later this year.
