04/07/2008 21:22. Practice 1 Red Flagged By Ferrari Crash

Formula One practice for the British Grand Prix has begun at the Silverstone circuit. 57 minutes into the session, Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has gone off at Turn 7, and significantly damaged his F2008 going rear-first into the tire wall.

It appears that oil dropped on the track by Fernando Alonso's Renault blowup to be the cause.

Massa is out of the car, and appears unhurt.
