Thailand: Mazda BT-50 update means revised Ford Ranger on the way 09/07/2008 18:52. Mazda Thailand, the vehicle's global source of build, has given the
BT-50 one-tonne pick-up its first visual update since the global
launch at the Bangkok motor show in April 2006. The changes are
subtle and include repeaters in the exterior mirrors, a less ornate
grille and slightly altered headlamps, front bumper and rear
lenses. Inside, the revisions are equally subtle with red backlighting for the instrumentation replacing green, and a new three-spoke steering wheel. There are no mechanical changes, so the BT-50 continues to be offered in 4x2 or 4x4 formats, with, depending on the market, a choice of 2.5- and 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engines. The model, which is a heavy re-engineered B-Series pick-up, is due to have one more facelift before being replaced in 2011. The... // Automotive World |
