06/08/2008 10:37. In July, Honda became the first foreign automotive brand to sell more than 1,000 cars a month in Korea. According to the number of newly registered imported cars released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association, Honda Accord sold 1,103 units last month.

One dealer of Korean-made cars says, "Monthly sales of 1,000 means the imported brand can compete head to head with Korean brands."

Domestically, GM Daewoo Tosca shifted 1,964 units, followed by Renault Samsung SM7 with 1,217.
