US: American Honda first to reveal Civic sedan and coupe facelift

21/08/2008 23:18. The version of Honda's wildly successful Civic that will be built at its soon to open third US plant has been unveiled.

American Honda has announced a mid-life update for the Civic sedan/Civic Hybrid and Civic coupe.

As Ford did for its 2009 model year Focus , a rival for the Civic, Honda has added a new luxury trim level for the car - both OEMs' product planners no doubt realised some time back that US buyers trading down due to high fuel prices would want features they normally associate only with larger vehicles. In American Honda's case, the new model grade is called 'LX-S'.
