show, months after it had gone on sale in other, international
markets. True to the original model, the new Fit addresses several
weaknesses and adds features seldom seen in this car class.
Notably, front leg room is improved, the clever "Magic seat" folds
flat to the floor in one motion, and the steering wheel has a wide
range of adjustment.
This new Fit has a longer wheelbase and a wider track. Along with
moving the A-pillar forward, these changes promise more interior
space. In Japan, the base engine is a 1.3-liter four-cylinder,
