28/08/2008 04:03. 2008-08-27 - Honda will debut the new Jazz at the Paris Motor Show
in October. It introduces the second generation six-speed i-Shift
automated manual transmission and new fuel economic,
high-performance four-valve VTEC engines that reduce the emissions
of the new model. New safety features include Honda's Advanced
Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, active front seat
head restraints and Vehicle Stability Assist.
In place of the two-valve i-DSI technology used in the previous
Jazz, the latest range is powered by newly-developed four-valve
i-VTEC petrol engines of either 1.2 litre or 1.4 litre capacity. A
capacity of 1198 cubic centimetres makes the new 1.2 litre engine
slightly smaller than its predecessor yet power rises from 57
kilowatts to 66 kilowatts at a slightly higher... //
