than the function-over-form GT-R. Still, it looks a little generic to us compared to the NSX, which still looks incredible, considering it was introduced in 1991, and changed little until being discontinued in 2005. Despite the sleek styling and bodywork formed from aluminum and steel, the car will ride on a modified version of the platform that underpins Acura's RL sedan. The NSX successor will be a four-seater, but don't expect a lot of space in the rear; look for it to use an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The V10 engine will also use Honda's cylinder de-activation technology to shut down half of the engine under light loads to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
