01/07/2008 23:16. The Boise woman who struck and killed a bicyclist with a Hummer H3 sport-utility vehicle at the Eagle/Overland Road intersection in October has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter.

Erika Hanson, 44, will be sentenced in August in connection with the death of bicyclist Sarah Howard, who was stopped Oct. 19 in the bike lane on Overland Road waiting for a red light to change when she was hit by the large SUV.

Hanson, who also goes by the name Erika Endes-Jansen, entered the guilty plea to the vehicular manslaughter charge Friday afternoon in front of 4th District Judge Michael Wetherell, who will sentence Hanson on Aug. 21.

Hanson will be placed on 10 years probation and 365 days of house arrest, as part of a plea agreement reached with Ada County prosecutors. Hanson, who will be... // IdahoStatesman.com
