However, the Korean-based company reported a 12 percent increase in sales of its Sonata sedan in June.

Sales of the sport utility vehicle Santa Fe, which is made at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama plant in Montgomery along with the Sonata, fell to 5,863 in June, compared to 8,460 the same month last year.
