19/06/2008 22:38. Helen Pathe, at last week's Cruise Night, quietly remained in the car as I introduced myself and asked if she and husband John would like their Jaguar E-Type featured.

Their story unraveled quickly as Helen vented about this lovely piece of machinery. For some reason Helen, about to celebrate 44 years of marriage, with John didn't have many complimentary things to say about the gorgeous Jaguar they've owned for 30 years. All in fun she called this Sable colored beauty mud finish brown. "I don't like brown," she explained.

I truly got a kick out of Helen beating up on the color yet still calling it a "finish." John, to the opposite and very laidback, puffed up when I asked if the ubiquitous boat anchor straight six powered the car (of course I didn't say boat anchor to John.)
