28/06/2008 07:50. JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Jaguars defensive end Paul Spicer has signed a contract extension, the club announced today. Length and terms of the contact are undisclosed.

Spicer, 32, served as the defensive team captain last season while leading the team with a career-high 7.5 sacks. The 10th-year veteran started 12 of his 15 games played in 2007 and started both postseason contests. The 6-4, 295-pound defensive end recorded 50 tackles (36 solo), three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
