06/07/2008 19:08. Jaguar's X-Type has been revamped, and comes with a host of new features, including a new automatic transmission in the acclaimed 2.2-litre diesel.

With significant revisions, including nearly 500 new components, the new generation X-Type retains all the original strengths, and adds some new ones of its own.

"The revamped X-Type stands for accessibility, versatility, luxury and choice within the Jaguar range", David Gasan, managing director of Gasan Enterprises Ltd, Jaguar's local agents, said. "The new features - particularly the automatic transmission in the 2.2 diesel - enable us to reach new customers and retain existing owners."
