Honda Seil Cars India (HSCI) launched a new third generation Honda city car in the market on Thursday. The company is expecting good business as festival season is approaching. The price of new Honda city is fixed between Rs. 7.70 lakh to Rs. 8.90 lakh. The president and CMO of Honda, M. Takedagawa said that companys Honda City brand is one of the most popular brands of the country and India is a largest market for Honda city. The company has already launched the new model of Honda City in Thailand before launching it in the Indian market.

The company said that the all-new Honda City is equipped with a 1.5L, four-cylinder new-generation i-VTEC engine that delivers 118PS of power while providing good fuel economy similar to the City ZX.

In line with Honda's policy of reducing impact on the environment the engine is E10 compliant and confirms to Euro IV emission levels.

Honda Siel cars India (HSCI), has unveiled a new version of the Honda City in India, in a bid to boost its sales in emerging markets like India. The premium carmaker has aggressively priced the third generation of City between Rs. 7.7 lakh (manual) and Rs. 8.9 lakh (automatic), ex-showroom Delhi. The new Honda City would be available in three different grades powered by a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine. Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and air bags , which were available in some of the variants of the older car, will now be offered as standard fitment in the new car. The car would be available in the Indian market from November'08 and would come in six colours with 2+2 years warranty. NEW DELHI: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) on Thursday launched the third generation model of its popular sedan ‘City,’ to boost its sales in the forthcoming festive season.
