7269 Wagon R minivehicle was the best-selling automobile in
Japan in the first six months of the fiscal year ending next March,
keeping the top slot for the fifth straight year on a first-half
basis, industry data showed Monday. The Wagon R's sales totaled 96,075 units in April-September, down 10.1 pct from a year earlier, according to the data compiled by the Japan Automobile Dealers Association and the Japan Mini Vehicles Association. The Wagon R's first-half sales remained brisk despite the fact that Suzuki had to sell the old model till the fully remodeled version was launched at the end of September.
