Volunteers from throughout Montana are expected to turn out in
force on Sept. 13-14 to help construct parts of a new seven-mile
stretch of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). Anna Laxague and
Jason Wells, of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew will be in Helena
to assist with the project, which is a first step towards
establishing new singletrack opportunities in the area. This
project is a result of the cooperation between Helena and Butte's
mountain bike communities, IMBA, Backcountry Horseman, Continental
Divide Trail Alliance and Montana Wilderness Association.
The new trail is a component of the High Divide Trails Agreement,
which saw Montana cyclists join forces with Wilderness advocates,
equestrians and other groups to craft... //
