American market in mind. Last year, it grew in stature, becoming
larger and providing more power than its predecessor, while adding
an available third-row, enabling seven-passenger seating. A larger
3.6-liter V6 engine was fitted, delivering 252 horsepower at 6500
rpm along with 243 pound-feet of torque at 2300 rpm to either the
front wheels, or to all four via an electronic on-demand,
all-wheel-drive system, while providing fuel economy equal to or
better than the previous generation XL7. The XL7 evolved from the Suzuki Concept-X, which debuted at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
