Czech Rep GP: Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Qualifying Recap - Vermeulen On Second Row

Chris Vermeulen will start tomorrow’s Czech Republic Grand Prix from the front of the second row after setting the fourth quickest time during a wet qualifying session this afternoon.

Vermeulen only managed to complete 10 laps of the newly re-surfaced Brno circuit this afternoon, as conditions deteriorated during the hour and made it very difficult to improve on lap-times. Vermeulen’s time of 2’13.002 was set on his fifth lap during his first run when the rain was quite light. He then spent some time in the pit-box waiting for conditions to improve, and although he went out towards the end of the session he was unable to better his time and narrowly missed out on a front-row start by only... // PaddockTalk

Czech Rep GP: Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Practice Recap - Capirossi Improves Consistently

Rizla Suzuki MotoGP began the first day back after the mid-season break in fine form at Brno in the Czech Republic today, with both riders in the top-six.

Loris Capirossi led the way for the boys in blue as he clocked a time of 1'58.000 from his 46 laps to give him third place on the timesheets at the end of day one. Capirossi is still nursing the injury he sustained in Assen in June, but he appeared untroubled by the wound as he consistently improved his times around the newly re-surfaced 5,403m Brno circuit.
