Police seek Jeep Grand Cherokee in "hit and run homicide"

23/09/2008 07:58. Minneapolis police say forensics investigators have narrowed the list of potential vehicles involved in what they call a "hit and run homicide" on September 11.

They're looking for a 1996, 1997, or 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, either light brown, tan, or gold in color.

Minneapolis believe that's the vehicle which struck and killed 65 year old Jim Nisser while he rode his bicycle to work near 32nd and Excelsior Boulevard.

"This is probably our biggest step forward," said Minneapolis police Sgt. Jesse Garcia. "And we're hoping anyone with information about this vehicle will call us."
