03/07/2008 01:46. MANILA, Philippines - Police shot dead two of three suspected robbers who were holding up passengers of a jeep in the Philcoa area in Quezon City Wednesday night.

Radio dzBB's Roland Bola reported that a police patrol team chanced on a commotion inside a passenger jeep and decided to investigate.

When the policemen introduced themselves, the men allegedly fired at them, prompting the policemen to fire back.
