Emitting 242 horsepower, 228 pound-feet of torque and able to tow up to 3,500 pounds, consumers who dont need to tow quite as much and are more fuel economy-conscious can opt for this lighter engine, which is now standard on all LX models.

For 2008, an all-new all-aluminum 3.3L V6 engine becomes standard on all LX trim level models, emitting 242 horsepower, 228 pound-feet of torque and is able to tow up to 3,500 pounds, while the 3.8L V6 remains standard on all EX models. The new 3.3L V6, like the 3.8L, is mated to an electronically controlled five-speed Sportmatic¢ transmission, allowing drivers to choose between automatic or manual shift mode.
