03/07/2008 05:12. After only four years of life, the Kia Cerato is soon to be replaced in South Korea by a new model, the Forte. Its main market, however, will be the US, when Kia launches the car there and in Canada in 2009 to replace the Spectra.

After only four years of life, the Kia Cerato is soon to be replaced in South Korea by a new model, the Forte. Its main market, however, will be the US, when Kia launches the car there and in Canada in 2009 to replace the Spectra.

While there will not be a five-door hatchback to take over from North America's Spectra 5, a coupe is expected, making this car a direct rival for the Honda Civic, Ford Focus and Chevrolet Cobalt ranges.

In the home market, where the Forte sedan will be released on 22 August, the car will come with a 1.6-litre I4 engine.... // Automotive World
