19/06/2008 04:35. Rome - The Italian car maker Lancia is reviving the 'Delta' name with a new hatchback scheduled for launch on European markets in September.

Harking back to the first Delta of 1979 with its high-performance engine and sporty design, the new Delta comes with the choice of four turbo power units and other features such an advanced ESP (electronic stability programme), electronic damping control, lane assist and active parking assist.

The 1.4-litre engine comes in either a 120 or 150 horsepower while the 1.6-litre diesel unit is offered in a 120 hp and 165 hp version.
