30/06/2008 10:18. A LUXURY car salesman has been run over by car thieves who stole a $60,000 vehicle from the sales lot.

It's a car salesman's worst nightmare.

Trying to make a deal on one of the luxury cars on the lot, the man at the steering wheel asks to hear the engine run and before you know it, throws the car into drive and runs you over on the way out of the car yard.

And that's how it was at Lexus of Brighton on Saturday when one of its new metallic light blue Lexus IS 250 models went tearing out the driveway and onto Nepean Hwy about 2.15pm.

As the vehicle was reversed out the driveway, it struck the salesman causing minor injuries.
