30/06/2008 16:19. You know youre getting old when you compare a car such as the Mazda MX-5 to a toy boy: hot, sexy, energetic, exhilarating and all that stuff. Madly exciting, too.

Yet I dont think Id want either to move in with me. In my dotage, I'd much prefer one-night-stand material. Not that many (older) women would turn down either, I suspect; the model was launched in South Africa in November 2005.

Thing is, many of us just dont manage the getting-in-and-out out thing quite like we used to: to get into the Mazda, which is seriously low, and to climb out again, requires a nimbleness and agility sometimes lacking in the more mature driver
