The new C-Class is a brilliant car that is very nearly as much fun to drive as a BMW 3-Series and in some versions, like the C350, it is.

But if you're young and stylish you don't want to be seen driving a boring old saloon car that could have its boot full of photocopier spares.

You want something stylish and sexy that's going to impress on the high street.

Which is why Mercedes goes to the trouble of building a coupe version of the C-Class for the younger punter.
