02/10/2008 04:31. Sales of the Alabama-built M-Class sport utility inched up slightly in September, but other vehicles built by Mercedes-Benz in the state posted double-digit slides, the German automaker said today.

Mercedes sold 2,981 M-Class vehicles last month, up 1.1 percent from September 2007, according to its U.S. sales report.
