04/07/2008 11:54. Booker T & The MGs, the band behind 100s of hit songs, has been honored with an induction into the Musician's Hall of Fame.

The Musicians Hall of Fame is somewhat different to the other halls, as it is about acknowledging contributions from behind the scenes and behind the great names.

This was the first year of many annual events for the Nashville based Musician's Hall of Fame.

Booker T. & The MGs formed in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. As well as Booker T., the group also featured the now legendary Steve Cropper and Donald 'Duck' Dunn.
