03/07/2008 21:22. PASCAGOULA -- Kenny Thomas didn't have more than a day's notice that Bike Fest was holding a car show.

It wasn't too late for the automobile enthusiast to drive his 1955 Chevrolet Belair to Pascagoula and claim another first-place finish.

The People's Choice Bike and Car Show, part of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bike Fest's week-long schedule, took place Wednesday at LaFont Inn in Pascagoula.

Thomas, who owns an auto repair shop in Gautier, won the car division, and Warren Ryan of New Orleans won the bike division.

"I didn't even find out it was a car show until yesterday when I read about it in the newspaper," Thomas said. "Wednesday is a hard day to hold a show. But it's got a lot of potential."
