the past few weeks. Two weeks ago, he lost a potential top-five finish when Kevin Harvick clipped his Ford on the right rear fender in the closing laps at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. On Sunday at New Hampshire, McMurray felt the wrath of Earnhardt Nation when he ran into the back of Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the apron in turn four. Any chance either driver had of a high finish ended there. Then there was an uncomfortable moment during the NASCAR Sprint Cup conference call on Tuesday when McMurray was asked whether he was worried about keeping his job with Roush Fenway Racing.
