The Cube is similar to the Scion xB, with rounded windows and asymmetric styling that make it look a little like a child's toy. The Cube's 1.3-liter, four-cylinder engine has been replaced with an electric motor and an advanced lithium-ion battery pack. The wheelbase has been stretched nine inches to make room for the extra batteries under the seats. The new laminated lithium-ion batteries are produced by NEC in a joint venture with Nissan.
