31/07/2008 14:01. Nissan has added all-wheel drive and a diesel engine to its Qashqai range.

The Qashqai 2.0 dCi will be available in two variants: the Acenta, with the same specification as the two-litre petrol version launched in South Africa in September 2007, and the upmarket Tekna, with Nissan's All Mode electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system (as seen on the X-Trail), distinctive 17" alloy rims shod with 215/60 radials and a choice of fabric or leather upholstery

The engine is new, a 1995cc, four-cylinder turbodiesel with second-generation, common-rail fuel-injection and Bosch piezo-electric injectors with a "five-squirt" injection cycle.
