Seat maker Johnson Controls laid off 142 workers from its plant in Madison, and metal parts assembly company PK U.S.A. cut about 45 employees at its Canton facility on Friday.

Both companies supply Nissan North America's plant in Canton where truck, minivan and sport utility vehicle production is down this year.
