Both models have undergone numerous updates and modernizations, growing larger, more accommodating and more sophisticated as they kept pace with evolving automotive tastes. Both have remained favorites for people who value reliable, economical transportation without large sacrifices in comfort and style, and that describes most of us drivers.

In our collective consciousness, the Nissan Sentra is kind of a stepbrother to those two well-celebrated models. It belongs in the same group as Civic and Corolla. Together the three models make up a trio of good-sense compact cruisers from the big-three Japanese auto companies. But Sentra doesn't enjoy the same mythical stature of the other two cars.
