Nissan Enhances Handling, Riding Comfort of 'Teana' 03/06/2008 20:27. Nissan Motor Co Ltd fully redesigned its 'Teana" sedan and began
sales June 2, 2008. With the newly developed "D Platform," the new
Teana provides better riding comfort and handling. Nissan announced that it will introduce the D Platform for three of its North American models. But Teana is the first vehicle in the Japanese market to feature this platform. In North America, the D Platform is used in the new Altima released in fall 2006 and the new Murano released in January 2008. Nissan also plans to employ the D platform in the new Maxima slated for launch in early July 2008. Three types of engines, two for FWD and one for 4WD, are available.
