Many changes for Acura TSX 15/11/2008 18:38. Despite that extra weight, Acura claims the TSX actually achieves
better fuel economy than its predecessor. The 2008 model with a
manual transmission was rated at 10.8 litres per 100 kilometres in
the city and 7.2 L/100 km on the highway, while the '09 model comes
in at 10.5 L/100 km in the city and 7.0 L/100 km on the highway,
with a combined average of 8.9 L/100 km. During my week of testing, however, I was not able to come anywhere close to those numbers, averaging 11.5 L/100 km with a mix of city and highway driving. The good news is that, despite the gas mileage, the car's emissions have been reduced through the use of a new exhaust layout, an improved catalytic converter and a programmed fuel-injection system. With these improvements, the TSX now meets Tier 2/Bin 5 emission... // The Gazette (Montreal) |
