Test Drive Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI SE 01/11/2008 00:34. HAVING recently tried the excellent Audi A4 saloon, I was eager to
try out the estate version - and the Avant 2.0-litre diesel did not
disappoint. The third generation of the model was launched in the summer and the Germans have given the A4 Avant a much improved interior and loadspace, as well as beefing up the driving dynamics. The all-new sleek and sporty body shell turns heads wherever it goes. Its dimensions are bigger all round than its predecessor, with rear passengers now having ample leg and shoulder room. Audi claims a class-leading maximum of 1,430 litres of space for the A4 Avant, while a not to be sniffed at 490 litres is available with all seats in use. But space is nothing without quality.
