The latest arrivals at dealerships. Compiled by Paul Hudson High-spec, limited edition version of the Sevens used for Caterham Driving Experience (CDX) trackdays, featuring more than £2,000 worth of performance extras.

This smart-looking machine is the latest version of the famous Caterham Seven. The initials CDX stand for Caterham Driving Experience because the car is built to the same spec as the cars used for Caterham's turn-up-and-go driving days.

The Caterham Seven CDX will benefit from over .2000 worth of extras with the highlight being a tuned version of the K-Series powerplant which was recently replaced by 1.6-liter Ford sigma engine.

It looks as though Caterham is starting to go the Mustang route with special editions of the Seven, though most of these actually improve the performance and don't have strange movie tie-ins ( Caterham R500 FTW.

To the untrained eye, the Seven looks, quite frankly, ancient and as if it should have been pensioned off in the early Seventies. Yet actually, it could be the template for the sports cars of the future.
