Chevrolet driver Cale Gale won the Coors Light Pole Award for the NASCAR Nationwide Food City 250 with a lap of 15.727 seconds, 122.007 mph. This is his first pole in 23 NASCAR Nationwide Series races and he was the fastest qualifying rookie. This is also his first pole and fourth top-10 start in 2008 in just his first race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Cale Gale, No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet, captured the pole for the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is the first NASCAR Nationwide Series pole for the Mobile, AL native. Gale shares the cockpit with team owner Kevin Harvick. This will be Gale's 12th start of the season.
