19/06/2008 12:01. TURIN, Italy — Fiat has announced that the production model of its Fiorino people carrier will be called the Fiorino Qubo and is scheduled to hit European dealerships by the end of the month.

The five-seater Qubo is classified in Europe as an MPV (Americans might consider it a microvan if it were available here) and features two different engines, either a lively 75-horsepower 1.3-liter Multijet diesel or a 73-hp 1.4-liter gasoline engine. Either engine can be mated to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. It has a range of up to 621 miles and can hit the highway with a maximum speed of just above 96 mph.
